StatementSheet vs MoneyThumb

A desktop converter since 2015, with a second business selling statement analysis to lenders. Both turn a PDF bank statement into a spreadsheet. The table below is what each side's own pages said on 2026-09-02, including the places where MoneyThumb is the better choice.

Where MoneyThumb is better

  • The desktop product converts entirely on your own machine, so the statement never reaches anyone's server — a stronger privacy position than ours, which processes in memory but still processes.
  • Writes QBO and OFX files that import straight into QuickBooks Desktop, which we cannot produce.
  • Answers 90% of support questions within 30 minutes during business hours; we promise a day.
  • Eleven years in business with a named founder, address and phone, against our five months.

Where we are better

  • The online plan works out to roughly ten times our per-page cost, and it meters whole statements rather than pages.
  • The OCR on the "lifetime" desktop licence needs an annual fee after the first year.
  • The refund window is conditional and lives in the licence agreement rather than on the pricing page.

Choose MoneyThumb if

your firm's rule is that client statements never leave the office computer, or you live in QuickBooks Desktop and need a QBO file that imports without a detour. Their desktop product answers both, and we answer neither.

Choose us if

what you need is the numbers to be right and the price to stay small. Every row is checked against the balance the bank printed, the ones that do not add up are marked before you download, and nothing about your client's statement is kept afterwards. At $0.037 a page that is 11 times less than MoneyThumb.

Try it on the statement you were about to convert

The first 3 pages convert here, without an account. If the balance check does not hold up on your own file, you have lost nothing.
