StatementSheet vs DocuClipper
The largest dedicated converter, aimed at accounting and lending firms. Both turn a PDF bank statement into a spreadsheet. The table below is what each side's own pages said on 2026-09-02, including the places where DocuClipper is the better choice.
| StatementSheet | DocuClipper | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per page | $0.037 — $15/month for 400 pages (Starter) | $0.33 — $20/month for 60 pages (Starter) |
| Before you sign up | 3 pages with no account and no card, then a whole statement with a free account | 14-day trial, 120 pages, no card; a guest upload shows the first 10 transactions |
| Are the numbers checked | The running balance is recomputed at every row against the printed balance, and any row that does not reconcile is flagged in the preview and highlighted in the export | Reconciliation check confirms extracted totals match the opening and closing balance — totals, not individual rows |
| What happens to your file | Nothing. The PDF is read in memory and released at the end of the request | Files kept 30 days on Starter, 2 years on Business, 5 years on Enterprise (AES-256 on S3) |
| Exports | Excel and CSV with the balance column, plus a separate three-column CSV that QuickBooks imports without misreading the balance as a debit | Excel, CSV, QBO, QFX, OFX, IIF, QIF, JSON; direct sync to QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, NetSuite, Zapier |
| Who runs it | Built in Tashkent by Bunyod; payments handled by Polar as merchant of record | Company named as Grand Plans LLC; no founder, address or phone on the site |
| Refunds | Full refund within 7 days of any charge, renewals included, if under 20 pages were converted since it | No refund policy stated; the 14-day trial stands in for one |
Where DocuClipper is better
- Direct sync into QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and NetSuite, so a bookkeeper never touches a file — we only produce Excel and CSV.
- SOC 2 Type II, which a firm with a procurement checklist will ask for and we do not have.
- Rule-based categorization and batch processing of hundreds of statements at once, neither of which we do.
- 121 reviews on G2 at 4.7, against no third-party reviews of us at all.
Where we are better
- Eight times our per-page price at the entry tier, and roughly eleven times ours at the top.
- Keeps your clients' statements on file for between 30 days and 5 years; we keep none.
- Its reconciliation compares totals against the opening and closing balance. Ours recomputes the running balance at every row and names the row that breaks.
- 1.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot, where the recurring complaint is annual commitments billed monthly and a refusal to refund.
Choose DocuClipper if
you need statements to land inside QuickBooks or Xero automatically, you process hundreds at a time, or your firm requires a SOC 2 report before a tool touches client data. DocuClipper does all three and we do none of them.
Choose us if
what you need is the numbers to be right and the price to stay small. Every row is checked against the balance the bank printed, the ones that do not add up are marked before you download, and nothing about your client's statement is kept afterwards. At $0.037 a page that is 9 times less than DocuClipper.
Try it on the statement you were about to convert
The first 3 pages convert here, without an account. If the balance check does not hold up on your own file, you have lost nothing.
